British jeweler Robinson Pelham has launched a bright summery collection in rainbow colored beads. The Arcadia collection gives us a color high with its Italian Murano glass transformed beads. The new line, says Vanessa Chilton, Creative Director, is intended to provide a solution for the #neckmess layering style. The new Arcadia bracelets and necklaces can be worn with the brand’s own charms or your own.
With Arcadia, Robinson Pelham is encouraging their customers to “spread the vertical neckmess horizontally.” The styling options for the charms come in the form of gold oval hinged connectors that are a perfect fit to hang several of the brand’s styles – EarWishes, Wishdishes, Ear-nitials, Chroma tassels, Identity Token, Constellation and Sabre. “You can also remove them and wear other pendants like Cipher, or one of our Gold Hearts,” explains Vanessa. Available in 15,17, 20 and 30 inches, the entire necklace is strung on a gold chain with three hinged connectors, which enables you to personalize it, while the bracelet features a single connector. What inspired the collection’s name? “Arcadia means simplicity, happiness and adventure – all of which are hallmarks of our brand,” adds Vanessa.
The Murano glass rods are made into round and cylindrical beads in a private studio in the west country, UK. Robinson Pelham donates its unused beads to Beads of Courage, an organization that partners with the staff of their member hospitals and work together to “help children with serious illness record, tell and own their stories of courage through the arts-in-medicine programs.” What prompted the bead donation initiative? “We were told about Beads of Courage by the studio that makes our beads and thought the organization was doing fantastic work for children, so we decided to get involved.”
